Just make an Announcement forum and announce releases there. You can activate the built-in feed of this phpBB forum in Board Configuration - Feed settings (but it's ATOM, not RSS).

Hi!

A feed for releases already exists, although a little hidden: The source code repository ("trac") has this function implemented.

Just go to http://trac.wsusoffline.net/log/tags. Each tag corresponds to a release. Ok, the contained information may be not the desired one (real version number of release, whole changelog), but you get a notice when anything happens. BTW: this also works with trunk, for example.

Greetings
Gerby

Reason: Trac URL
Mach mit - der Übersichtlichkeit wegen! Füge Log-Auszüge als [Code] ein.
Make it clear! Insert log excerpts as [Code].

Gerby, this is great, tnx!
Now only link to this on the changelog page is missing.

There is also an affiliated download page with rss, but it's Dutch: http://www.heise.de/software/rss/rss_prg38170.xml

Nope, it's German, not Dutch.

I am sorry. As an excuse I can say that before i wrote «Dutch», I tried to pick right word of two, but my dictionaries did not help.

yes! I feel this feed is almost 100% of what I need.
Thank you!

'Almost' is because I wish to get download link inside the feed :)

hmm, now there are two items in the feed: one is download link, other is release notes. I suppose they should be one.

(1) If feed is supposed to be «release-download feed», download link should be item link, as in item with title "Download version 6.6.4", still release notes should be in description, with link to the site.

otherwise,
(2) if feed is «release-notes feed», item link should open site, as in item with title "Modifications in version 6.6.4", but download link may (must?) be somewhere in description.

For me, option 1 is preferred, but others' opinion may not match. Either way, there will be one click less to download wsusoffline :)
